Help (Otherworldly) is a visceral piece born from the raw emotions of despair, anger, disorientation, and isolation. In the early years of my benzo injury, it often felt as though I had been transported to another planet—a place that resembled Earth but was devoid of joy and peace. Instead, it was a landscape of 24/7 discomfort, pain, and an atmosphere thick with fear that you could almost cut with a knife.
 
Years of medical appointments, trying to explain the symptoms to doctors without receiving answers or support, felt like screaming for help in the midst of a violent storm on a distant planet—endlessly, without anyone hearing. This painting became an opportunity to reflect on that time and, in retrospect, to offer some recognition and validation for the brutal struggle it represented. Though it felt like no one could hear me then, the self-validation now, years later, has brought a sense of comfort and healing.
